CGPSC SSE Notification 2023 

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission was formed under the provision of Act 315 of the Constitution of India on 23rd May 2001. CGPSC is responsible to conduct examinations for the appointments of Civil Servants in the Chhattisgarh state. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released the official notification of State Service Examination 2023.

As per CGPSC State Service Examination 2023 notification the selection process will be conducted in three stages viz Preliminary exam, Mains and Personal Interview. The Chhattisgarh SSE Preliminary exam will be conducted on 11^th February 2024. CGPSC Mains Examination will be conducted between 13th June 2024 to 16th June 2024. This year, the Chhattisgarh SSE exam will be conducted for a total of 242 posts in various state government departments.

As on 01.01.2023 the age Limit for applying of CGPSC State Service Examination 2023 is as under:-

For State Police Services: 21 to 28 years

For other posts/services: 21 to 30 years

Candidates applying for the CGPSC State Service Exam should have a Graduate degree from any recognized university or board.

CGPSC Exam Selection Process 2023

The candidates applying for the CGPSC exam will have to undergo the following selection stages:

Preliminary exam
Mains exam
Personal Interview

Candidates obtaining the minimum qualifying marks in the prelims exam will be qualified for CGPSC mains exam. Prelims exam is only a screening test to select aspirants for the main examination. Marks obtained in prelims will not be added in the Merit list for final selection. Candidate who qualify the mains examination as per the cut-off score decided by the commission for each category will be selected for the interview round. The final merit list will be made based on the marks secured by the aspirants in the mains exam and personal interview.

CGPSC Preliminary Exam pattern

The State Service Exam 2023 Preliminary exam will be of objective type. There will be two compulsory papers of 02 hours duration each. First Question Paper will be of General Studies which comprises 100 questions, Maximum marks 200 and duration of 2 hours. Second Question Paper will be an Aptitude Test having same duration, marks and duration as General Studies paper. For both the papers, each wrong answer will deduct 1/3 marks of correct answer.
Candidates must note that the prelims exam is a qualifying nature exam. Essential qualifying marks for Unreserved Category will be 33% where as 23% for reserved categories.

CGPSC Mains Exam pattern 2023

The CGPSC mains exam will be Subjective type and consists of 7 papers each having 200 marks. The Candidates have to score maximum marks out of 1400 in mains examination. The State Service Exam 2023 mains exam paper duration is reproduced as under:-

CGPSC Interview/Personality Test 2023

The CGPSC SSE 2023 final stage will be of Interview or personality Test. The total marks of interview will be of 100 marks. These marks will be added along with mains examination after which the final merit list will be declared.

CGPSC Exam Online Application Process

2. Candidates click on online Application button in top corner and proceed to registration.
3. Candidates have to register their Personal data, Educational Qualification, Age, Category and other details in Online Application Portal. Candidates should upload required scanned copies of documents / certificates in prescribed format to establish their eligibility.
4. After submitting applications through ONLINE, candidates should take a print out of Chhattisgarh SSE 2023registration cum application form and produce it along with self-attested copies of certificates / documents, at the time of document verification.
5. The Online application portal will be active from 01.12.2023 to 30.12.2023.
