Madras High Court has appellate jurisdiction over the state of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry. Madras High Court invites eligible candidates for filling up the 75 vacancies of Research Law Assistant to the Hon’ble Judges, High Court at madras and Madurai bench also on adhoc basis, for one year period.

The Candidates are requested to go through the guidelines for appointment of Research Law Assistant to the Hon’ble Judges on the official website of Madras High court Recruitment Portal before filling the application form and check the eligible criteria in all respect for the post.

Madras HC Research Law Assistant Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years on 1^st January or July.
• Graduate in law from recognized Universities and should be recognized by the bar Council of India for Admission as an advocate or Attorney of an Indian Court.
• Candidates must have to passed all their examination within the time of their Course.
• Only Candidates who have obtained their law degree not earlier than five years as on the date of Notification, are eligible to apply.

Madras HC Research Law Assistant Selection Process

After filling up of application form, organization select the candidate on the basis of eligibility criteria and no. of vacancies. Eligible candidates will have to appear for viva voce at Principal seat at Chennai or Madurai bench of Madras High Court.

Research Law Assistant Salary Structure

As per the official information Research Law Assistant shell be paid a consolidated amount of Rs.30,000/- per month as Honorarium for their assignment.

Research Law Assistant shall not be entitled to any other allowances or perks.

Research Assistant Place of Posting

Selected Candidates of Madras High Court Research Law Assistant will be posted either in the Principal seat at Madras or at Madurai bench of Madras High Court, Madurai. The facility of transferred in high court also liable vice versa in case of administrative exigencies.

• Candidates are informed to take a printout of application form from the official website of Madras High Court www.hcmadras.tn.nic.in and submit their application form.
• After filling up of application form candidates must self-attested copies of educational certificates including the statement of marks obtained in law degree.
• Candidates should not send their original certificate.
• The duly filled-in applications should be submitted through Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due and superscribed on the envelope as “Application for the post of Research Law Assistant to the Hon’ble Judges” and give the address to The Register General, High Court, Madras-600104.
• Candidates must have to submit application form before 08.12.2023.
• The Candidates have also to submit form through e-mail, the filled application form (Soft copy) submit at mhclawclerkrec@gmail.com.
•  Candidates should submit their application by two means, through e-mail and through post on or before 08.12.2023. Omission of any one method will lead to rejection of application.
