Staff Selection Commission conducting SSC GD Constable 2023 Recruitment to fill a total of 75768 vacancies of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) and Sepoy in NIA (National Investigation Agency). Selection process will comprise of Computer Based Exam ,Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination and Document Verification.

GD Constable Eligibility Criteria 2023

The Age limit as on 01.08.2023 for applying the SSC GD Constable exam 2023 :-

Minimum Age:- 18 years (Born not later than 01.08.2005)

Maximum Age:- 23 years (Born not earlier than 02.08.2000)

Educational Qualification

1. As on 01.01.2023 Candidates applying for the post of Constable (General Duty) must have completed their 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

2. If a candidate is NCC Certificate Holder then it is eligible for Incentive/Bonus Marks provided he/she has to opt for bonus marks/incentive for NCC certificate in online application.

SSC GD Constable Job Online Exam Pattern

The exam conducted for SSC GD Constable Job will be Computer Based which consist of objective type paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each, with the following composition:

All the Questions in GD Constable exam 2023 will be objective type and will be in English or Hindi. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks per wrong answer.

SSC GD Constable Job Selection Process

The General Duty Constable Job 2023 selection process is as under:-

1. The first stage for SSC GD selection process is to clear Computer Based Examination(CBE). The said exam will be of 80 marks with a time duration of 60 minutes.

2. Candidates who clear online exam will be shortlisted for Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST).

3. For Physical Efficiency Test (PET):-  Candidates have to clear race within following limits

4. For Physical Standard Test (PST):- Various checks will be conducted based on Height, Chest and Visual Standards

5. Finally The shortlisted candidates will be medically examined by the Medical Boards constituted by the CAPFs to assess their physical and medical fitness.

How to apply for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2023:

1) Eligible Candidates can click on ‘Register Now’ link provided in ‘Login’ Section on https://ssc.nic.in.

2) After registration candidates will get Registration no and password.

2) Fill all the basic details, name, contact details, address etc

3) Read the ‘Declaration’ carefully, if you agree with the declaration, click ‘I Agree’.

4) Upon clicking ‘Final Submit’ different OTPs will be sent on your mobile number and Email ID. You need to enter one of the two OTPs at designated field to complete the Registration Process.

5) After submission of Basic information, proceed to registration process of application form.

6) Click ‘Apply’ link in ‘Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination 2022’ section under ‘Latest Notifications’ tab.

7) Accordingly check the prefilled details, age relaxation if any. Then fill your preferred examination centre (total 3 choices can be given).

8) Fill your CAPFs/Organisation preference then upload your photo and signature.

9) Go through the declaration carefully and click on “I agree” check box if you accept the same. After then make online payment.

SSC GD Constable Salary 2023

The salary for the post of Sepoy in NIA is as per Pay Level-1 of Central Government Pay Matrix for the pay band Rs. 18,000 to 56,900

For the other posts of General Duty Constables Pay Level-3 with pay band of Rs. 21,700-69,100.
