Chandigarh Model Jail Warder Recruitment 2024 Brief details
The Prisons Department UT, Model Jail, Sector 51, Chandigarh has issued public notice for hiring of retirees/ pensioners for the post of Warder. Eligible persons are required to fill a offline application form containing details like personal information, experience etc. The requisite form along with relevant attachments should reach in the office of Superintendent model jail, Chandigarh on or before 20.01.2024.
The recruitment of the Ex-servicemen/ Retirees/ pensioners against the post of Warder will be completely Contract basis. The initial period of the contract will be of one year or till the post is filled on regular basis or through promotion as per department’s policy. Chandigarh Model Jail Warder Notification 2024 Eligibility Criteria
As per the Chandigarh Model Jail Warder official Notification 2024, the eligibility criteria of the persons are shown as under:-
- Minimum height should be 5’7’’ except exemption to be notified hilly area
- BMI should be less than 35
- Age should not be more than 65 years.
- Persons eligible for the post:- Ex-Servicemen, Retirees, pensioners, Constable/Head Constable, ASI from Police, Para Military Force, Retired Warder, Head-Warder
Chandigarh Jail Warder Recruitment 2024 Selection process
As per the official notification the selection criteria of the warder post is based on 4 parameters with maximum 100 marks. Each parameter having maximum marks associated with it. Final selection will be made by evaluating the marks obtained by the candidates/persons:-
- Qualification (maximum marks- 20) :- 10th Pass (10 Marks), 12th pass (05 marks), Graduation (05 marks)
- Length of service (maximum marks-20) :- 0.5 marks will be awarded for each complete year of continuous service
- Body mass Index (Maximum marks 30):- marks will be awarded based on the range in which the person weight falls for example BMI 33 to 35 will be awarded with 5 marks, BMI 31-33 will be awarded 10 marks till the end of BMI 19-22 which fetch highest 30 marks.
- Medals (Maximum marks- 30):- Marks will be awarded based on the medal obtained in highest category where least marks of 05 awarded to Sena Medal whereas Paramvir Chakra fetches the highest with 30 marks.
