Income Tax Mumbai Sports Recruitment 2024 Brief details
The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (PCCIT), Mumbai region released notification on 22.12.2023 inviting application for meritorious sports persons for the appointment of various cadres in the Income Tax Department. The selection process will be based on order of preference contained as DOPT guidelines. Applications invited from sportspersons participating in total of 65 sports and games. Candidates have to apply in online mode only whereas Last date for apply is 19th January 2024.
Being a State Government Job, candidates will be posted in Income Tax Mumbai Zone only.

Income Tax Mumbai Sports Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates before applying the Income Tax Sports recruitment application form must visit the official website and check the eligibility criteria.
The age limit (as on 01.01.2023) to apply for various cadres is as under:-
Income Tax Inspector post :- (18 years to 30 years)
(Steno) & (TA):- (18 years to 27 years)
MTS & CA :- (18 years to 25 years)
Additional 5 Years age relaxation for meritorious sports persons and 10 years for SC/ST candidates.

Income Tax Mumbai Sports Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process of the sports persons will be based on order of preferences prescribed by the DOPT guidelines. The preferences are basically based on the achievements of the sports persons who represented in international competition followed by National Championships, Inter-University Competitions, State Schools and so on.
The details regarding date, time and venue of the examination/interview will be intimated to the candidates as per shortlisted list on official Income Tax Mumbai website. Candidates are requested to regularly go through the website.
Income Tax Sports Recruitment 2024 Application Process
After going through official notification, eligible candidates can apply for the posts through official website of Income Tax Mumbai Region. The last date to apply for the posts is 19.01.2024.
- Application can be filed through online mode only.
- Relevant/necessary documents like achievement, caste certificate etc must be uploaded online only.
- Indicate post preference clearly like first preference, second and so on. Failure to indicate preference means your application will liable for cancellation
- If any candidate already working in govt department then he/she should furnish NOC from the present employer.
- After filing the application form candidates will be intimated through e-mail id mentioned in the application form.
